Tarot & Oracle Readings: Finding Guidance Through the Cards

For centuries, humans have turned to cards for guidance, clarity, and connection to the unseen. In my practice, I often use both Tarot and Oracle cards to support clients on their journeys. While the two work beautifully together, they each have unique qualities that shape how a reading unfolds.

Tarot is a structured system with 78 cards divided into the Major and Minor Arcana. Each card carries specific symbolism and meaning, and while intuition plays a role in interpreting them, Tarot follows a framework that has been passed down for generations. It is like learning a sacred language of archetypes, cycles, and universal truths.

Oracle cards, on the other hand, are freer and more fluid. Every Oracle deck is unique, created with its own theme and energy. There are no fixed rules or number of cards, they may feature goddesses, animals, affirmations, or entirely original imagery. Oracle readings are deeply intuitive, inviting spirit to speak in whatever form the deck was designed to channel.

In short, Tarot is a map, Oracle is a conversation. Both guide us, but in different ways.

When I sit down with a client, I begin by connecting to my higher council, the guides and wisdom keepers who support my work, as well as the client’s own spiritual allies. Together, we set the intention that the reading is always for the client’s highest good.

From there, the path is flexible. Sometimes we start with a clear question such as “What do I need to know about my career?” or “What guidance is here for my relationships?” Other times, we open the cards simply to see what Spirit has to say. The cards may illuminate challenges, affirm strengths, or offer new perspectives.

No matter the approach, I see the reading as a collaboration. We work through the messages together, reflecting, asking, and uncovering meaning.

For me, a reading is more than predicting outcomes. It is about creating a safe, sacred space where honesty, healing, and self-discovery can unfold. The cards are mirrors, reflecting back what your soul already knows, and my role is to help translate those reflections with clarity and compassion.

Whether through Tarot’s structured archetypes or Oracle’s intuitive flow, the magic lies in the connection, between us, Spirit, and the wisdom waiting to be revealed.
